Salary : $80,000 - $85,000 a year

Sydney Seaplanes has become an iconic feature of Sydney Harbour as they fly above some of the world’s most awe inspiring views. All scenic flights depart from the historic terminal and museum in Rose Bay with daily fly/dine packages to the culinary delights of such waterfront restaurants as the Cottage Point Inn, Peats Bite or Jonah’s at Whale Beach.

Sydney Seaplanes is currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Bar Manager to join their team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Overseeing the daily operations and overall management of the bar.
- Leading, supervising, training and motivating bar staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensuring consistent preparation, presentation and quality of all beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Developing and maintaining an attractive beverage and cocktail offering in consultation with management.
- Managing beverage stock control, purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory management and cost control.
- Monitoring beverage sales, labour costs, wastage and profitability, implementing strategies to maximise revenue.
- Preparing staff rosters, managing shift allocations and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensuring the bar is presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and appearance.
- Maintaining compliance with RSA requirements,



liquor licensing regulations, workplace health and safety standards and food safety procedures.
- Managing customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Working closely with the restaurant, kitchen and events teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Coordinating bar operations for private functions, corporate events, weddings and special occasions.
- Monitoring service standards and implementing procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring all opening, closing and cash-handling procedures are followed accurately.

Skills and Experience:

- At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Relevant Qualification
- Sound knowledge of NSW liquor licensing laws and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality workplace.
- A professional presentation and positive, hands-on approach.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
- The ability to build positive relationships with guests, staff, suppliers and management.
