Join our team as a Winder Operator in Cobar In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe operation of winding equipment and related systems to transport personnel and materials in and out of the underground mine. Working on a 7:7 days & nights rotational roster, this position is available on a residential basis only. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
• Achieving daily and adjusted monthly rolling average targets
• Demonstrating a relentless focus on operational discipline to improve overall performance and productivity within the team.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures and the winder management plan.
• Ensuring all safety related documentation are completed (SLAM’s, JSA and Permits to works)
• Operate winding equipment and related systems in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conducting pre-start checks and complete logbooks and shift reports as required.
• Maintaining housekeeping standards in Shaft and Winder areas.
• Ensuring open communication and direction through the daily morning shift meetings to allow coordination of all facets of the day-to-day operation of the Ore processing as required.
• Ensuring an effective handover with cross-shift at the end of shift meeting.
• Supporting mining and processing requirements by utilising both winding systems and challenging the compliance to maintenance and production plans
• Compliance with all site and company policies and procedures




• Any other task as directed by your supervisor Qualifications About You: To be successful, you will bring the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
• Previous experience operating winding equipment, mills or heavy machinery in an underground mining environment
• Excellent understanding of winding/process systems and associated equipment
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Australian Drivers Licence (P2 minimum)
