About us
The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision‑making. We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA. We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.
The work area
RevenueWA collects revenue on behalf of the Government and pays grants and subsidies to Western Australians. This includes the administration of duties, land tax, payroll tax and royalties laws and payment of first home owner grants, pensioners and seniors rebates and energy subsidies.
RevenueWA carries out compliance audits and investigations and manages overdue debt and taxpayer objections and appeals. RevenueWA also develops revenue legislation and progresses it through the Parliament, and increases taxpayer awareness through education programmes. RevenueWA has dedicated teams to support the ICT systems that underpin revenue administration.
