Senior Network Engineer | Cisco, Fortinet & Palo Alto

Take ownership of the design, implementation and support of secure enterprise network infrastructure across a complex Australian Government environment. Work with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, alongside AWS and Azure cloud networking, to deliver reliable, high-performing network services.

Contract Duration: 6 months, with 3 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1

Essential Tasks

- Design, implement and maintain secure enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless and data centre network infrastructure.
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and load balancers across complex network environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network performance, applying automation, scripting and security best practices.
- Develop network requirements for RFQs,



conduct technical and value-for-money evaluations, and provide technical recommendations.

Key Criteria

- Extensive enterprise networking experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
- Solid network monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and scripting capabilities across high-availability environments.
- Proven experience implementing network security controls and delivering cloud networking solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience developing technical RFQ requirements, evaluating network solutions and producing clear technical documentation and recommendations.
