Solar & Battery Sales Consultant | On-Grid and Off-Grid | Ballarat

We sell grid-connect solar and batteries, and we build off-grid power systems for homes, farms and remote sites across western Victoria. Our leads come in warm. We need someone who answers the phone fast, reads a power bill in five minutes, and designs a system the customer trusts.

Off-grid experience? We want to hear from you first.

Off-grid is our fastest-growing area. If you have designed or sold off-grid systems, put it in the first line of your application and we will call you first.

About the role

Every new solar and battery enquiry is yours, from first call to signed job. You own the relationship through to handover with the install team.

Key responsibilities

Answer every current solar and battery enquiry and own it from first call to signed job

Read power bills, do basic system design, and build quotes in our quoting system

Site visits across the Ballarat region

Follow up every open quote until it is won or lost

Clean handover to our install team

Log every call in the CRM

About you

2+ years selling solar,



batteries, or another considered home purchase

Enough technical knowledge to size a system and explain it in plain English

A driver licence and willingness to visit sites

CRM habits: you log every call

Bonus: off-grid design experience, Victron or Selectronic knowledge, an electrical licence, or a CEC design accreditation

Ballarat Solar Panels is the solar arm of Effective Electrical, a licensed electrical contractor based in Wendouree. We hold CEC accreditation for grid-connect and battery storage, and we design, install and support systems across western Victoria, including off-grid homes and farms.

What we offer

$80k to $95k base + super + commission on gross profit

A path into off-grid design and sales

Full time preferred. Part time (3+ days) considered for the right person.
