THE ROLE Make a Splash with YMCA SA - Teaching Life Skills, One Stroke at a Time

YMCA SA Purruna Spencer Newton Centre is looking for Swim Teachers to join us Based in Torrens Park, you’ll be part of a community hub where you can help participants of all ages develop their swimming ability, develop water safety skills and thrive in fun and supportive environment. You’ll join a dynamic and vibrant team with other role models to deliver safe, engaging and high-quality lessons while ensuring our swimming program runs smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach secure, engaging aquatic lessons for babies and toddlers

Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons that build confidence and water safety skills

Support students’ progress through stroke development and structured lesson plans

Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports students and families

Adapt lessons to meet diverse needs, using patience, innovation and encouragement

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the Swim School

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or Swim Australia Teacher accreditation or equivalent

AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics or equivalent

HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent

RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care
