Phoenix Lifestyle Support Association – Redland Bay QLD

This role is for an accommodation support worker. The support worker must be available to work sleep over shifts (from 4:30pm to 8:30am), and weekends on a rolling roster. The roster requires the support worker to be available both days and nights on the weekend.

Key responsibilities

- Support participants to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living
- Provide direct support to participants with complex and high-intensity needs
- Work with participants with positive behaviour support plans
- Engage with participants to develop skills within their own homes
- Work closely with families in some instances

About you

- Passionate about working with people with disabilities
- Person-centered, reliable and have excellent communication skills
- Confident with close personal care
- Confident with assisting with medication
- Confident with managing mealtime preparation and modified diets
- Demonstrated time management skills




- Demonstrated competency with documentation and reporting
- Ability to work within a multicultural workforce
- Cert III in Disability or relevant qualification and/or experience or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid certificate and current CPR
- Open Drivers licence with own vehicle
- Current disability worker screening clearance card
- Australian or NZ citizenship or the capacity to permanently work in Australia
