The Role Become a vital part of the RAAF's Air Warfare Engineering Squadron (AWE SQN), supporting aircraft and flight trials as an Aeromechanical Engineer / Technical Specialist. This position offers a wide variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, as well as the opportunity to be involved in supporting Army and Air Force flight trials. Your specialist aeromechanical knowledge will be utilised within Systems Development Flight to:Engineer designs across all Australian Defence Force platforms in the maritime, aviation domains, including designs on highly specialised flight test instrumentation support of aircraft stores compatibility flight clearances. Provide in office engineering and technical expertise on in-service capability to support customers. Plan and execute aerospace air and ground verification and validation activities. Provide technical advice, analysis and recommendations on aerospace systems across the broader organisation. Conduct technical investigations, report findings and provide recommendations to management.

- Aircraft Instrumentation and Specialist Aerospace Advice.
- Specialist Air Weapons and Stores Advice, including loading, clearance and employment of stores.
- Electromagnetic Compatibility and Radio Frequency Analysis Advice.
- Aerodynamic Modelling and Weapon Danger Area Safety Assessment.
- Prototyping and Mechanical / Electrical Manufacture of designs.
