UCentric is partnering exclusively with a leading global retail and e-commerce organisation to appoint an experienced Recruiter supporting its Australian and broader APAC operations. Our client is an established international business with a significant operational presence in Melbourne's west, alongside a diverse range of corporate and technology functions across the region.
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week, with the flexibility to work onsite up to 5 days per week during peak hiring periods.
About the Role:
As Recruiter, you will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across corporate, technology and operational functions. You'll work closely with hiring managers and regional business leaders, providing market insights, developing recruitment strategies and ensuring a positive experience for candidates and stakeholders.
The role offers variety, combining specialist professional recruitment with workforce planning and higher-volume hiring requirements across the organisation's Australian operations.
We're looking for someone who can comfortably move between strategic talent conversations and hands-on recruitment delivery, bringing structure, commercial thinking and a proactive approach to sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders across Australia and APAC to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and sourcing through to assessment, stakeholder coordination and offer management.
- Partner with global stakeholders to embed and champion global talent frameworks, aligning localized hiring priorities with enterprise standards.
- Provide market intelligence, talent availability insights and recommendations on sourcing approaches.
- Support recruitment across corporate and specialist functions, including technology, commercial and operational teams.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, providing a consultative approach to recruitment delivery.
- Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive talent.
- Build talent maps and pipelines for specialist, business-critical and recurring hiring requirements.
- Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems and modern sourcing technologies to improve talent attraction.
- Conduct candidate screening and assessment to evaluate technical capability, experience and alignment with business requirements.
- Maintain an understanding of the Australian talent market, including emerging hiring trends and competitor activity.
Operational & Volume Recruitment
- Support high-volume recruitment requirements associated with a major operational site in Melbourne's western suburbs.
- Work with operational stakeholders to anticipate hiring demand and maintain consistent candidate pipelines.
- Develop scalable approaches to recruitment that balance speed,
quality and candidate experience.
- Monitor recruitment activity, pipeline performance and hiring outcomes to support workforce requirements.
Recruitment Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to regional and global Talent Acquisition initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across different markets.
- Identify opportunities to simplify recruitment processes, improve sourcing effectiveness and enhance the candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting to support hiring decisions.
- Share knowledge, market insights and recruitment best practices with stakeholders and colleagues.
About You:
We're looking for an experienced recruiter who enjoys the combination of relationship management, proactive sourcing and hands-on recruitment delivery.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Demonstrated end-to-end recruitment experience gained within an in-house Talent Acquisition function, recruitment agency or embedded recruitment environment.
- Experience recruiting across multiple professional disciplines, ideally including corporate or technology functions.
- Solid direct sourcing and headhunting capability, with confidence engaging passive candidates.
- A consultative approach to stakeholder management, with the ability to influence hiring decisions and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Experience managing multiple recruitment priorities and delivering against agreed hiring targets.
- Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, recruitment technology and pipeline reporting.
- An understanding of Australian recruitment practices and employment requirements.
