Company Background

Our client is a long-established property/franchise group with an extensive network across Australia. With ongoing growth initiatives and operational change, they are seeking a senior Financial Controller to step in quickly and provide strong leadership across financial reporting and control.

Based in Sydney’s lower North Shore, this is an on-site contract role where you will partner closely with senior stakeholders and support a small finance team through a busy transition period.

The Role

This Financial Controller contract will take ownership of finance across Australia and New Zealand. Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing financial administration and ensuring strong financial controls
- Managing/supporting end-of-month processes, including billing support and credit notes where required
- Financial reporting and delivery of accurate reporting outputs to key stakeholders
- Board reporting every 6 weeks (board packs,



insights, commentary)
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control support
- Compliance and risk management, ensuring governance standards are maintained
- Driving improvements and working confidently with finance systems and reporting tools

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Controller role, you will be:

- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Must-have hands-on MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience (applicants without will be disregarded)
- Background within property/real estate and/or franchise environments (highly regarded)
- Proven capability producing financial statements and senior-level reporting
- Confidence partnering with executive stakeholders, with clear and qualified communication
- A proactive, tech-savvy approach and comfort working in evolving environments
- Immediate (or near-immediate) availability to commence and complete a structured handover
