Happy Hearts Child Care Centre and Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated

Educator

to join our team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a

part-time position

that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children during their formative years. As an Educator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and develop to their full potential. This position is integral to our mission of providing high-quality care and educational experiences that support each child's developmental journey.

What you'll be doing

Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional development

Supervising and safeguarding children to ensure their health, safety and wellbeing at all times

Building positive relationships with children and creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and respected

Observing and documenting children's learning and development progress, and communicating regularly with families about their child's experiences and achievements

Collaborating with colleagues to maintain clean, organised and safe learning spaces that meet regulatory standards and best practice requirements

Supporting children's social and emotional development by modelling positive behaviours and helping them develop conflict resolution and communication skills





Responding sensitively to children's individual needs and adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learners

Participating in staff meetings, professional development activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of our service

Maintaining detailed records and adhering to all centre policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

A recognised early childhood education qualification, such as a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification

Current Working with Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain one)

Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to early childhood settings

Demonstrated experience working in childcare, kindergarten or early childhood education environments

Strong knowledge of child development and evidence-based early learning frameworks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development

Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments whilst maintaining patience and empathy

Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice





Understanding of inclusion, diversity and cultural responsiveness in early childhood settings
