We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our breakfast and lunch service at our popular North Perth café, Chinta'. This is a full-time role with no evening shifts, making it an excellent opportunity for an accomplished chef looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service during our peak operating hours.
What you'll be doing
Developing and executing innovative breakfast and lunch menus that showcase seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
Leading and mentoring a team of passionate chefs to ensure exceptional food quality and timely service
Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Collaborating with the management team to optimise kitchen operations and drive continuous improvement
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and ensuring Chinta' remains a culinary leader in our community
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Chef or equivalent senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
A back ground or understanding of South East Asian cooking
Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality food
Excellent time management and organisational skills to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume setting
Creativity and passion for crafting innovative, flavourful dishes that delight our customers
Robust working knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the front-of-house team
