You’ll work from home and spend much of your time with end-user customers, learning what they need and matching it with the right cable, connectivity and harnessing solutions. You’ll own your territory, with strong backing from our internal sales engineers, product managers, customer service team and warehouse.

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you will:

- Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective end-user customers
- Visit customer sites regularly, give technical product advice and uncover new opportunities
- Help customers with product selection and specifications
- Identify and convert new business and project opportunities
- Prepare and follow up customer quotations, negotiating pricing within set guidelines to achieve profitable outcomes
- Work with our Automation BDM and Solutions team on technical and project work
- Achieve your sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
- Plan your territory coverage and update our CRM, SAP and other systems as you complete your customer visits
- Share customer feedback to help improve our products, marketing and service




- Stay across our product range, industry trends and competitor activity

About You You’re a self-motivated salesperson who is as comfortable talking technical detail on site as you are negotiating a deal.

You will bring

- B2B external sales or account management experience, ideally in the electrical or industrial automation sectors
- An electrical background (a trade or technical qualification in an electrical or related field is highly regarded)
- The ability to identify, qualify and close opportunities
- Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- The discipline to work independently from home and manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative approach to working with teams across the business
- Confidence using technology and the discipline to keep systems up to date as you work through your territory (SAP experience is advantageous)
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across regional and interstate VIC and SA

A tertiary qualification in Business, Sales or a related technical field is preferred. Why Join LAPP?
