We're recruiting an AO5/1 Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to join a busy government team in Mt Isa, helping drive workplace safety, compliance, and wellbeing across a range of operational projects.

✅ Contract from 23 November 2026 to 26 February 2027

? What you'll be doing

As the WHS Advisor, you'll play a key role in promoting protected work practices and supporting operational teams by:

? Conducting site WHS&E; audits and inspections

? Providing expert WHS advice to operational, supervisory and management staff

? Delivering safety information sessions and educational initiatives

? Assisting with incident investigations and reporting processes

? Supporting rehabilitation and return-to-work programs

? Coordinating emergency planning and response activities





? Developing and reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and WHS management plans

? Preparing WHS reports and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

? Supporting the delivery of health and safety programs across the region

✅ What we're looking for

✔ Clean driver's licence

✔ Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (highly desirable)

✔ Experience in WHS, safety compliance, audits, investigations, and risk management

✔ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

✔ Ability to work collaboratively across operational teams
