Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Appian Application Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications using the Appian Business Process Management (BPM) platform.The ideal candidate will have expertise in Appian application development, workflow automation, business process modelling, system integrations, and low-code application development. You will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient business process automation solutions.Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and implement enterprise applications using the Appian BPM platform.
- Build and maintain Appian applications using SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer), Records, Sites, Process Models, and Interfaces.
- Develop and automate business workflows using Appian Process Models and business rules.
- Design user-friendly interfaces, forms, dashboards, and reports using Appian.
- Integrate Appian applications with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration objects.
- Develop and manage data models, data stores, record types, and database integrations.
- Implement business rules, expressions, decision logic, and reusable components.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging, and optimize application performance.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in application testing, deployment, release management, and production support.
- Follow Appian development best practices, security standards, and governance guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Appian BPM / Appian Low-Code Platform.




- Experience developing Appian applications using SAIL, Interfaces, Sites, and Records.
- Strong knowledge of Appian Process Models and workflow automation.
- Experience with Appian Expression Rules, Decision Rules, and Business Rules.
- Experience with Appian integrations, including REST APIs and SOAP web services.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data modelling, data stores, and database connectivity.
- Understanding of application security, user roles, and access management.
- Experience with application debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills

- Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Senior Developer certification.
- Experience with Appian RPA and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale BPM and digital transformation projects.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of overall software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Appian application development.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end BPM and workflow automation solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
