About the Role
/n
/n As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day operation and performance of the store./n
/n This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be highly visible on the floor, supporting the team, maintaining strong store standards and stepping up to take ownership when the Store Manager is away./n
/n You’ll play an important role in developing the team and helping create a positive, customer-focused store environment./n
/n
Key Responsibilities:/n
/n /n
- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store
/n
- Lead, coach and support a close-knit team of approximately 18 staff
/n
- Drive strong customer service and store presentation standards
/n
- Assist with stock management, merchandising and inventory control
/n
- Support rostering, wage management and overall store performance
/n
- Maintain compliance across food safety, workplace health & safety and company standards
/n
- Take ownership of store operations in the Store Manager’s absence
/n
- Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
/n
- Support the team to achieve sales targets and operational KPIs
/n About You:/n
/n /n
- Previous supermarket, grocery or FMCG retail leadership experience
/n
- Experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or similar would be highly regarded
/n
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on and supportive management style
/n
- Comfortable working closely with your team on the shop floor
/n
- Good understanding of stock control, rostering and store operations
/n
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service
/n
- Looking to continue developing your retail management career
/n
- Full Australian working rights, with no visa sponsorship available
