About the Roles

Qualified Baker

We are seeking qualified Bakers who take pride in their craft and can confidently work as part of a busy bakery production team.

Responsibilities may include

- Preparing, baking and presenting a wide variety of breads and bakery products.

- Producing consistently high-quality products to Bakers Delight standards.

- Mixing, moulding, proving, baking and finishing products.

- Operating bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, dividers and prover/retarders.

- Supporting and coaching Apprentice Bakers and Baker’s Assistants.

- Maintaining high food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety standards.

- Contributing to an efficient, organised and positive production environment.

Applicants for Baker positions should hold a Certificate III in Baking or equivalent recognised trade qualification.

Baker’s Assistant

Our Baker’s Assistants are an important part of our production team and work alongside our Bakers to keep the bakery running efficiently.

Responsibilities may include

- Assisting Bakers with daily production.

- Preparing ingredients and products.

- Assisting with mixing, moulding, baking and finishing.

- Setting up and cleaning bakery equipment.

- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised production area.

- Following food-safety and hygiene procedures.

- Learning new bakery production skills.





Previous bakery, kitchen, hospitality or food-production experience is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important to us.

Apprentice Baker

Looking for a trade where you can learn practical skills and build a long-term career?

We are also looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Baker to undertake a Certificate III in Baking while gaining hands-on experience with our award-winning bakery team.

You will learn all aspects of commercial baking, including:

- Dough preparation and mixing.

- Moulding and shaping.

- Baking breads and specialty products.

- Product finishing and presentation.

- Operating commercial bakery equipment.

- Food safety, hygiene and workplace safety.

- Planning and working as part of a professional bakery production team.

We welcome applications from new apprentices as well as existing apprentices who may be looking to continue their apprenticeship with a new employer.

What We’re Looking For

Across all three positions, we are looking for people who:

- Are reliable, punctual and genuinely willing to work.

- Enjoy being part of a team.

- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Take pride in producing quality work.

- Can work efficiently in a busy production environment.

- Have good communication skills and treat others with respect.

- Are comfortable with the physical requirements of bakery work, including standing for extended periods and lifting ingredients and equipment.

- Have reliable transport, particularly due to early-morning start times.

- Are available to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Bakery production starts early,



with shifts commencing from approximately 2:00 am depending on the position and production requirements.
