About St John's Grammar School

St John's Grammar School is an E – 12 Co-educational, Independent, Anglican School and is located in the hills at Belair, South Australia. St John's is structured into four sub-schools: The Early Learning Centre (3 and 4 Year Old Programs), Junior School (R-6), Middle School (Year 7-9) and Senior School (Year 10 – 12).

Help create a home away from home for our international students

At St John’s Grammar, our International Living Precinct is more than simply a place for students to stay. It’s a welcoming, supportive community where our international students can feel secure, connected and at home while living and studying away from their families.

We’re looking for warm, caring and dependable International Living Precinct Supervisors to join our Boarding House team from Term 1, 2027 and help make that experience a positive one for every student.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys connecting with young people and being part of their everyday lives. From helping with study and sharing conversations over dinner, to encouraging healthy routines and simply being a trusted and familiar presence,



our supervisors play an important part in helping students feel supported and settled.

The role works across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends, April and October school holidays and includes overnight sleepovers. Accommodation is provided during sleepover shifts, along with meals while students are present.

About you

More than anything, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and understands the importance of making students feel welcome, valued and supported. You’ll be approachable, patient and dependable, with strong communication skills and the confidence and problem solving skills to work independently.

We are looking for staff to work both regular sleepover shifts as well as some casual relief work covering when regular staff are unavailable. The salary for these roles is based on Level 2.1 of the Educational Services (General Staff) Award.

Please note that we have several roles to be offered as either a contract position for 2027 or on a casual basis.
