Gilles Plains

Riverina Pools, part of Aquatic Leisure Technologies, is one of Australia’s most trusted pool manufacturers. Due to continued growth in South Australia, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Branch Manager to lead our South Australian business from our Gilles Plains office on a full-time basis. This is an immediate start for the right person.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will manage all aspects of the South Australian branch, including sales, project scheduling, pool installations, KPI, debtors and customer relations. You will lead a team across safety/environment, sales, administration, supervision, yard/stores, supplier management and installation, and work closely with our subcontractors to deliver high-quality fibreglass pools safely, on time and on budget.

The business already has state-of-the-art quoting systems and a full project management system in place, making the journey from sale through to completed project seamless. This allows you to focus on what matters most: driving growth, leading your team and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates from the building or service industries, ideally with some background in pool installations or the pool industry (though this is not essential). We would equally like to hear from people who have run a small business in the construction industry or trades.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading and executing the state sales strategy to achieve targets across fibreglass pools, spas and pool equipment.
- Managing and mentoring the sales team to drive conversion rates and deliver consistent customer experience.
- Managing a small team of employees and subcontractors through daily and monthly tasks and being responsible for recruitment when required.
- Overseeing the sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of projects from sale through to installation.
- Managing pool installations from start to finish, coordinating customers,

site supervisors, subcontractors and trades so projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Planning and managing project scheduling, workforce capacity and installation team performance.
- Building strong contractor and supplier relationships, including negotiating rates and pricing.
- Coordinating supply chain and inventory, including freight from our WA manufacturing facility.
- Managing the state budget and driving cost control, KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for customer issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring WHS, compliance and quality assurance requirements are met.
- Providing weekly and monthly reporting to the Executive Management Team on sales, forward orders, capacity and business performance.

What we’re looking for You will come from the building or services industry, and previous experience in pool installations or the wider pool industry will be highly regarded but is not essential. Experience running your own small business in the construction industry or trades would also be well suited to this role.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with customers, staff, trades, suppliers and senior management every day.

You will also bring:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a people- or customer-focused management role.
- Proven experience managing contractors, trades and project schedules.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Sales ability,

with proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and business planning.
- Working knowledge of building and engineering plans and Local Authority building applications.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate others.
- An unrestricted “C” class driver’s licence.
- A Construction White Card, Cert IV in Leadership and Senior First Aid certificate will be well regarded.

What We Offer

- An attractive remuneration and sales commissions.
- Company vehicle and fuel card, plus mobile phone and laptop.
- State-of-the-art quoting and project management systems to support you from sale through to completion.
- A senior leadership role with genuine autonomy, backed by a well-established Australian business.
- The opportunity to lead and grow our South Australian operations.

Simply click the "Apply Now" button and send us your resume. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible, so don’t delay. We’ll be in touch with successful applicants — this is a great chance to join a growing local business. Riverina Pools and Aquatic Leisure Technologies are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported and valued. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and abilities. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit, capability and cultural alignment.
