LGT Bank is part of LGT Group, a privately owned international wealth management group with a long-term perspective and a commitment to serving clients across generations. LGT Wealth Management was established in Australia with a transparent vision: to bring global best practice and institutional-quality investment expertise to Australian clients.
Our business combines global knowledge and capability with an authentic understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape. We value personalised, client-first service, entrepreneurial thinking and high-quality advice. As part of LGT Group, we have the stability and expertise to focus on the needs of our clients while building a business designed for the long term.
About The Role
LGT Bank is seeking experienced Business Analysts to join its growing Delivery function. These roles will support strategic change and mandatory initiatives across the LGT Wealth Management business. Each position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
As a Business Analyst, you will help turn business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers and technology teams to shape initiatives, support delivery, and contribute to high-quality releases across business platforms. The role spans requirements definition, solution design, testing and implementation, with a focus on traceability and meaningful outcomes.
We are especially interested in candidates who have worked on regulatory and compliance initiatives, process optimisation, performance reporting, financial products, AML or regulatory reforms, digital onboarding, data-focused projects,
or initiatives that improve scale and efficiency in client-facing advisory environments.
Qualifications A degree is required. You will also bring at least three years of experience as a Business Analyst, or five or more years of experience in Wealth Management with Business Analyst responsibilities. Experience with wealth advisory or private banking platforms is strongly valued, and Avaloq experience is highly desirable.
You should have practical experience in process mapping, developing user stories and working within Agile frameworks. Strong JIRA capability and advanced Excel skills are expected. An understanding of wealth management products and services will be an advantage, as will knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and change methodologies.
We are looking for a methodical and resilient professional who can manage competing priorities, communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. You should be comfortable working through complex problems, using information and data to support decisions, and helping teams maintain momentum through delivery.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify requirements, prioritise initiatives and resolve issues across multiple workstreams. Document requirements and translate them into clear,
sprint-ready user stories with measurable acceptance criteria. Create and walk through stories with business and technology teams, and support Senior Business Analysts and Business Owners in breaking down epics into manageable delivery items.
Work with Project Managers to plan and implement business and technical components of initiatives. Support developers and testers throughout each sprint, help teams meet sprint goals and maintain a focus on stakeholder value. Contribute across definition, design and testing, ensuring requirements can be traced through to test cases and quality outcomes.
Prepare stakeholder communications, support demonstrations and training, and assist with business procedure documentation. Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the development of business cases or lean canvases for future initiatives.
Benefits
Join a growing delivery team working on meaningful change within a respected wealth management business. LGT Wealth Management is committed to the ongoing development of its employees, with development tailored to each person’s role and future career path. You will collaborate with business and technology colleagues and contribute to initiatives that support clients, teams and the wider organisation.
Equal Opportunity
LGT Bank is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace. We seek to attract and retain talented people regardless of gender, marital or parental status, ethnic origin, nationality, age, background, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
