Business Development Manager

About us

Discovery Alert turns ASX announcements from mining, energy and commodities companies into market intelligence and investor media. We are part of AiGentic Group, a Perth-based, AI-native financial media group that also operates StockWire X, Investor Reach and AiGentic Labs, our in-house technology division.

The opportunity

We have invested heavily in technology so our sales team can focus on what matters most: building relationships and closing deals. Each Business Development Manager is supported by a dedicated AI sales development agent and daily market signals that identify which companies have upcoming news and when to engage. Research and administration are largely handled for you, leaving more time for client conversations.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and manage a pipeline of ASX-listed companies through proactive outreach
- Engage directly with CEOs, Managing Directors and investor relations teams
- Structure and close investor media packages tailored to each client
- Represent Discovery Alert at industry conferences, events and investor forums, including interstate travel
- Maintain strong client relationships to support retention and repeat business




- Use AI tools and our CRM to prepare for calls, follow up and progress opportunities

About you

- Proven experience in business development or B2B sales
- A proactive, self-driven approach to outbound prospecting and phone-based selling
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate a message clearly and persuasively
- Quick to learn and adapt, with a genuine interest in using AI to work smarter
- Personable and confident building relationships at senior levels
- Available to travel for industry events and conferences as required
- Experience in capital markets, media or the resources sector is welcome but not essential. Full training is provided
