Our client is a fast-growing, forward-thinking accounting and advisory firm based in Sydney, with 4 partners and a team of 40. They are a values-driven, high-performing practice known for delivering quality compliance and advisory services to SME and family group clients.

The firm is fully cloud-based on Xero and offers the scale to work on quality clients, while remaining small enough that your contribution is genuinely seen and valued.

The Role

As Business Services Manager, you will lead a portfolio of SME and family group clients, delivering strategic advice, technical oversight and people leadership. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing a diverse portfolio of successful SMEs and complex family group structures
- Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other compliance work across companies, trusts and SMSFs
- Providing commercial and strategic advice on structuring, tax planning and cash flow management
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of accountants, fostering growth and accountability
- Overseeing workflow,



team deadlines and client communication to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes
- Working closely with the partners to grow client relationships and contribute to the firm’s continued growth

About You

- CA or CPA qualified, with 6+ years’ public practice experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and compliance across a range of entity types
- Proven leadership experience, including reviewing work and managing a team
- Commercially minded, with the ability to build solid, consultative client relationships
- Confident using Xero and cloud-based tools such as Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs and Class
- Proactive, accountable and committed to delivering excellent work
