The opportunity

This is an opportunity to take on a rewarding and varied role, working directly with the partners and contributing to the continued success of STA Solutions.

You'll manage a portfolio of clients, provide practical taxation and business advice, and support the professional development of other team members.

You'll also have the opportunity to influence how we operate, contribute to improvements across the practice and develop your own leadership skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of business and individual clients, developing trusted relationships and delivering a high standard of service.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts,



partnerships and individuals.
- Providing proactive tax planning, taxation advice and practical business guidance to clients.
- Reviewing workpapers and providing support, guidance and mentoring to junior accountants.
- Working closely with the partners on client matters and identifying opportunities to improve the services we provide.
- Contributing ideas to improve our systems, processes and use of technology.

For an experienced Senior Accountant stepping into management, we'll provide guidance and support as you develop your leadership capabilities. For an established manager, the role offers the opportunity to bring your experience and ideas to a firm where you can have a genuine influence.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a positive attitude, sound professional judgement and a genuine interest in helping clients and colleagues succeed.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Strong experience in Australian public practice accounting and taxation.
- Confidence in preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns across a range of business structures.
- Sound technical knowledge of Australian taxation, including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A.
- IPA, CA or CPA qualifications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex taxation and accounting matters in a explicit, practical way.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and take ownership of your work.
- A willingness to mentor and support less experienced team members.
- An approachable, collaborative nature and a commitment to professional integrity.
