Experienced Carpenter / Handy Person required for a large facilities maintenance company

Your new company An established facilities maintenance company with a strong portfolio of blue-chip clients is looking for 2 x experienced Maintenance Carpenter / Handy Persons to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity to move into a secure, long-term facilities maintenance role, working across a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites across Sydney Metro.

Your recent role

As a Maintenance Carpenter / Handy Person, you will be responsible for delivering all-round building maintenance. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days will be exactly the same.

Your duties will include

General carpentry repairs and maintenance

Hanging, adjusting and repairing doors

Window repairs

Partitioning and minor building works

Minor plumbing repairs

Replacing lamps and basic lighting maintenance

Painting, patching and touch-up work

General reactive and preventative maintenance

Liaising directly with the client and site stakeholders

Coordinating with subcontractors when required

Completing basic maintenance reports

Other general building maintenance duties as required

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will need:

Strong all-round carpentry / Handy Person skills

Confidence undertaking a broad range of minor maintenance tasks

Excellent customer service and communication skills





Basic computer skills for reporting and completing maintenance documentation The ability to work autonomously and professionally within a client-facing environment

Clear criminal history

Above all, you'll be someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and can build a strong client relationships.
