About the role

Stain Lifters is looking for a practical, reliable Carpet Cleaning & Property Services Technician to join our team based in Browns Plains, QLD, with an immediate start available. This is a casual position, with flexible hours and the opportunity to move into a full-time role after a successful settling-in period.

Approximately 70% of the role involves carpet cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, and upholstery cleaning. The remaining work includes blind installations, rubbish removal and other practical property services.

This role would suit someone with a handyman background or a practical mindset who enjoys variety, meeting people and taking pride in a job well done. Previous experience is welcome, but training will be provided to the right person.

What you’ll be doing

- Providing professional carpet, tile and grout, and upholstery cleaning services to residential and commercial clients.
- Assessing surfaces and selecting suitable cleaning methods, with training and guidance provided.
- Operating specialised equipment to treat stains, dirt and odours.
- Installing blinds, completing rubbish removal and assisting with other property service tasks.
- Communicating professionally with clients, tenants, property managers and our office.
- Taking job photos and completing a short, accurate report after every job.
- Maintaining a clean, organised work vehicle and looking after company tools and equipment.
- Following safe work practices and treating every property with care and respect.

You will need

- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn different skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills—this is a client-facing role.
- A well-presented appearance and a friendly, skilled manner.




- Practical ability and confidence using tools and equipment.
- The ability to work independently, follow instructions and contribute to a team.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills for following instructions, taking measurements and writing clear job reports.
- Confidence using a smartphone for job information, photos and reporting.
- The physical fitness to carry equipment, lift and move items, and perform active work throughout the day.
- A current, valid open driver’s licence and reliable transport to and from work.
- A clean police record.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Card and Working with Children Blue Card or be prepared to obtain them.

Experience in professional cleaning, blind installation, handyman work or a similar practical role would be an advantage, but is not essential.
