We Are Key Assets Australia
Key Assets is a leading not-for-profit children, family and community services agency, founded in Australia in 2007. We provide foster care & family services across all states, the ACT, Norfolk Island and Cocos Keeling Islands. Our purpose is to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children, families, and communities.
We pride ourselves on being inclusive and embrace and celebrate the diversity of all people within our communities. Our diversity helps us provide the best support possible to carers, families, children and young people, and all of our external stakeholders.
About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking a skilled Case Worker to join the Leongatha team in a 12-month parental leave fixed-term contract. Reporting to the local Team Manager, our Case Workers provide superior support to carers via telephone consultations, scheduled meetings and occasional unannounced visits.

- Monitor and review suitability of carers, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to provide a secure, healthy, nurturing environment for children and young people
- Facilitate, support and encourage appropriate contact with biological families
- Ensure child safety and wellbeing remain the highest priority by managing detailed safety planning and reporting, with adherence to child safe standards and legislation
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will understand how to collaborate with carers, children and young people in a culturally responsive, trauma informed and family centred manner.
Additionally, we would love to see:
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding frameworks and statewide government initiatives
- Genuine interest in facilitating support groups, social events and training
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining time management and attention to detail
