Cashier | Register Operator

Part-Time | 18 Hours per Week | 3 Shifts Per Week

Armadale Location

Monday: 3:30pm–8:30pm

Friday: 3:30pm–8:30pm

Saturday: 12:30pm–8:30pm

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier / Register Operator to join our Armadale team.

This is a permanent part-time role, requiring availability for three set shifts each week: Monday afternoon/evening, Friday afternoon/evening, and Saturday afternoon/evening. The roster totals 18 hours per week.

As one of the final points of contact for our customers, you will help create a warm, efficient, and positive checkout experience. You’ll be confident using a register, handling transactions accurately, and supporting the front end of the store during busy trading periods.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include

- Provide friendly, welcoming, and efficient customer service at the checkout

- Accurately process cash, card, and other payment transactions

- Operate the register and ensure correct pricing and scanning of products

- Assist customers with enquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member when needed

- Pack purchases with care and maintain an efficient flow through the checkout

- Maintain a clean, organised, and presentable checkout area

- Assist with restocking bags, front-end supplies,



and impulse display areas as required

- Support the wider store team during busy periods

- Follow cash-handling, food safety, and workplace health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

You are approachable, accurate, and enjoy helping people. You remain calm and attentive during busy periods, take pride in getting the details right, and contribute positively to a team environment.

You will have

- Previous cashier, register, customer service, or retail experience preferred

- Confidence handling payments and processing transactions accurately

- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- A friendly, professional, and reliable approach

- Good attention to detail and ability to work efficiently

- Availability to work all three set weekly shifts: Monday, Friday, and Saturday

- Supermarket, grocery, or food retail experience is an advantage
