We're looking for a friendly, switched-on Casual Retail Assistant to join the Bottega team. You'll be the face of La Vera for our customers. You'll help them find the right cheese, smallgoods and other gourmet delights, share what makes our products special and make sure every visit is a outstanding one.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers and give friendly, knowledgeable service
- Run tastings, make product recommendations and process sales
- Keep the store, displays and fridges clean, stocked and looking their best
- Help with receiving stock, rotation, packing and general store tasks
- Pitch in on whatever needs doing to keep the store running smoothly
- Represent La Vera at festivals, markets and events as these opportunities grow
About you
- Passionate about food, and Italian food is a bonus
- Love talking to people and get a buzz from great customer service
- Retail or hospitality experience is ideal but not essential. Attitude matters most
- Reliable, take initiative and happy to roll up your sleeves
- Available for casual shifts, including some weekends, and open to occasional festival and event work
- Current right to work in Australia

Vera is our retail store. It's where customers come to taste, learn about and buy our fresh mozzarella, bocconcini, ricotta, parmesan and more, straight from the people who make it. The business is growing, and we're taking La Vera beyond the shopfront to festivals, markets and events.
