About You
AVS is seeking an experienced commercially minded senior executive or CEO with robust strategic judgement, leadership capability and stakeholder credibility.
Key requirements include
- Strategic leadership and governance, with experience working effectively with Boards.
- Business and commercial acumen, with experience taking science, technology or innovation through to market adoption.
- Investment strategy and portfolio oversight, with the commercial judgement to critically assess investment recommendations,
guide portfolio direction and balance risk, return and public value.
- Stakeholder influence and engagement, with the ability to build trusted relationships across government, industry, research and investment.
- People leadership, with a track record of building capable, collaborative and high-performing teams.
- Scientific or industry credibility, ideally gained within agriculture, biosciences, research, innovation or another science-based sector.
