We are on the look out for a passionate and professional chef to join our small team.

We create a weekly changing tasting menu based on using whole animals butchered in house and produce entirely sourced from Bellingen/Mid North Coast region. We also have a wine bar offering snacky more drinking friendly food that is a reflection of the produce being utilized in the restaurant. This offers great creative freedom to the right candidate.

The role will suit an organised, passionate person who understands the concept of what a sustainable business looks like. We do not work in set sections due to the small nature of our restaurant so this presents a great learning opportunity.

We endeavour to visit our farmers as frequently as possible so these farms trips would also be a part of the role.

Tasks include but not limited to:

- Baking naturally leavened breads
- Pastry
- Whole animal butchery (pigs, chicken, ducks, lamb, beef, fish)




- Working with whole vegetables to minimise waste and create snacks
- Charcuterie production
- Running food and interacting with guests

Due to the limited size of our team, the successful candidate must have a positive grasp on the English language as they will be also responsible for serving food and explaining dishes to our guests. This is a role for someone looking to take on some creative opportunity and be part of an ethical and produce driven business.

We offer a great work life balance with 4 and ½ day a week roster.

Wednesday to Sunday availability is a must.

As we are still in the infancy of our time in Bellingen our hours are still evolving as we understand the community and its needs.
