CivilPlus Constructions is a locally owned and operated Civil & Marine Infrastructure company based in Townsville. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and experienced individuals to join our team across a range of civil construction projects throughout North Queensland. We currently have opportunities available for:

- Leading Hands
- Plant Operators
- Pipelayers
- Civil Construction Labourers

About the Roles

As part of the CivilPlus team, you will be involved in the delivery of a diverse range of civil and marine infrastructure projects. Working alongside our experienced Supervisors, Engineers and construction crews, you will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

Leading Hands

- Assist Supervisors with the coordination of daily site activities and construction crews.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials to meet project requirements.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Maintain quality workmanship and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Plant Operators

- Safely operate civil construction plant and equipment,



including excavators, loaders, rollers and other machinery.
- Complete daily plant inspections and pre-start checks.
- Assist with earthworks, trenching, excavation and general civil construction activities.
- Work closely with ground crews and Supervisors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Pipelayers

- Assist with the installation of water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.
- Undertake pipe laying, alignment, bedding and backfilling activities.
- Interpret construction drawings, levels and specifications.
- Work alongside Operators and construction crews to ensure quality installation.
- Maintain safe work practices around excavations and underground services.

Labourers

- Undertake general civil construction and site preparation activities.
- Assist tradespeople, Operators and Pipelayers with daily construction tasks.
- Support the installation of civil infrastructure and associated works.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
- Assist with handling materials, equipment and tools as required.

About You

To be successful in these roles, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in civil construction or a related industry.
- Relevant plant tickets, licences or competencies applicable to your position.
- A current Driver Licence.
- A Construction White Card.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.




- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- A willingness to assist with various tasks as required.
- Pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Experience in civil infrastructure, earthworks, drainage or pipeline construction will be highly regarded. We encourage applications from individuals with varying levels of experience who have a genuine interest in working within the civil construction industry.

Location & Availability

These positions are Townsville-based, with work across our civil construction projects throughout North Queensland. Applicants must be based in Townsville and available to attend worksites as required.
