Local Geotechnics (LG) provides consulting geotechnical engineering services based in Perth, Western Australia. Our team work together to provide practical solutions across geotechnical engineering, pavement investigations, civil design, Site and Soil Evaluation, Storm Water Drainage Design and Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing and reporting. We have our own NATA Accredited soil testing laboratory.

Due to the massive growth opportunities across WA, LG is looking for a mid level to senior geotechnical and/ or civil engineer (field and office based). You will be part of a highly skilled friendly team working on rewarding small to large sized projects.
LG is seeking a highly motivated geotechnical and/or civil engineer to join our team.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities:
- Capable to understand geotechnical site investigation and field testing. Training will be provided as required.
- Good understanding in civil engineering (preferability in geotechnical engineer), will have the capability to prepare interpretative geotechnical engineering reports
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing a wide range of geotechnical investigation projects from small scale residential site investigations to large infrastructure projects
- Proactive, client focused and take pride in producing quality work
- Direct communication with clients and subcontractors
- Availability to travel for short trip across WA and to sites when required. Allowances will be provided during travel time
- Enjoy working both in the office and fields; and have a flexible approach that may include operating onsite and in remote locations
- Knowledge of local geotechnical engineering will be an added advantage
- Hold a current Australian driver’s license
