ABOUT THE ROLE

Whitehouse Group Qld Pty Ltd has an opportunity for a Civil Project Manager: Development Works to join our team.

Be part of a landmark new project shaping Rockhampton's community infrastructure - a major urban development and civil construction initiative - the Rockhampton Sports Precinct Project (Stage 1).

The role is available in either a full time, casual or sub-contractor capacity.

We are seeking a commercially astute and driven Civil Project Manager to take end-to-end accountability for this high-profile project. Based at the project site in Rockhampton, you will lead the project delivery team as well as managing project relationships, commercial outcomes, project scheduling and engineering compliance.

- Monday to Friday roster, approx. 11 hour days, on-site in Rockhampton
- Project duration is from November 2026 to July 2027 (approx.) with possibility of other local project work following on from this
- DIDO preferred; however, would consider FIFO options, including accommodation, for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Planning, scheduling and coordinating all aspects of the project, including resource allocation and timeline management
- Liaising with client, contractors and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment
- Monitoring project progress and budget performance, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety regulations, construction codes and industry standards
- Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain project standards




- Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, reports and records
- Managing variations, claims and contractual matters in accordance with project agreements
- Leading and supervising site teams and subcontractors to achieve project objectives
- Resolving issues and conflicts that arise during project delivery in a professional and timely manner

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager, delivering civil construction and/or urban development/infrastructure projects ($10M value highly regarded)
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract administration, budgeting and claims management
- Exceptional leadership capabilities to effectively mentor and manage a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies
- Excellent project planning, scheduling and budgeting skills with proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Sound understanding of safety regulations, building codes and industry standards applicable to civil construction
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Project Management, Construction Management or Civil Engineering as well as relevant professional experience




- Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on-site in regional Queensland (Rockhampton)
