Location: Mackay Local Roles

Roster: Monday to Friday – 10 hour days

We are currently seeking experienced Civil Operators to join various upcoming projects/companies across the Whitsundays!

Our client is a reputable civil construction contractor delivering a range of infrastructure, roadworks and urban development projects across the Mackay and surrounding regions. With a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety and reliable project delivery, they offer a great opportunity to join an experienced team working on local civil construction projects.

What you will be doing:

Skilled Labourer

- Be part of a local civil construction project helping deliver car park upgrades in Ooralea.
- Assist with site preparation, ground levelling and shovelling to support the construction crew.
- Work alongside an experienced team to keep the project moving and ensure works are completed efficiently.
- Put your skills to use, with Skid Steer, Roller or HR licence experience highly desirable.

Excavator Operator

- Operating excavators across civil construction and urban projects.
- Completing excavation and trenching works for pipe relocation and drainage.
- Digging pits, trenches and foundations.
- Loading trucks and moving spoil and materials.
- Completing bulk earthworks and site preparation.
- Working safely around existing underground services.
- Completing batter and slope trimming.
- Assisting with drainage, stormwater and culvert installation.
- Carrying out general civil excavation and site clean-up.




- GPS and Final Trim experience highly desirable.

What you will need:

- Demonstrated experience operating skid steers, rollers or HR trucks combined with general labouring experience, OR previous excavator operating experience.
- Previous experience on civil construction or urban projects.
- GPS machine control and Final Trim experience highly regarded for Excavator Operators.
- Ability to read plans, levels and grades.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes.
- Construction Card (White/Blue Card).
- Right to Work in Australia.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Ability to pass regular Drug and Alcohol Testing.
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical (PEM).
