Our client, a leading Australian manufacturer of high-quality piping and fitting solutions, is currently seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join their growing team at a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wellcamp.
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery involved in the production of drain coils and ensuring products are manufactured, packaged and dispatched to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring drain coil manufacturing machinery.
- Performing machine start-ups, shut-downs and product size changes.
- Loading trucks using a forklift or side loader.
- Packaging finished products for dispatch in accordance with quality standards.
- Carrying out light maintenance and general housekeeping.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working setting.
- Following all company safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Completing production paperwork and documentation accurately.
Shifts rotate weekly, with employees spending one week on each of the following:
- Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am
You must be comfortable and available to work across all three rotating shifts.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:
- Current forklift licence – essential.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience – highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on product quality.
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual tasks.
- Flexibility and reliability to work rotating shifts.
Successful applicants must also be willing to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
