At Churches of Christ, we support thousands of people every day across aged care, home care, retirement living, foster and kinship care, and housing support. Our reputation has been built over more than 140 years, and we are looking for someone who can help strengthen it through great storytelling, trusted media relationships, and compelling content.

About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will help shape how Churches of Christ is represented externally.
This is a role for someone who does not wait for opportunities to arrive in their inbox. You will get out into the business, build relationships, visit services, and uncover stories others might miss.

- Capturing and editing short-form video content using mobile devices and in-house editing tools.
- Managing external videographers and creative suppliers for larger productions.
- Monitoring media coverage and identifying opportunities to strengthen organisational reputation.
You may currently be working in communications, PR, media relations, or journalism. What matters most is that you are naturally curious, enjoy chasing a story and know how to turn ideas into content that reaches the right audience.
You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, journalism, corporate communications, or public relations.
- Strong writing, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience building relationships with media and external stakeholders.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and preparing spokespersons.
- Experience filming and editing short-form content using mobile devices and accessible editing platforms.
