Newly created Compliance Manager position for a global insurer and speciality risk provider that has been demonstrating strong performance and growth within the local market. The scope of the role will be to provide support on regulatory compliance obligations affecting the Australian and New Zealand operations.
Reporting into the Legal & Compliance Manager you will maintain the compliance framework including the monitoring of all compliance obligations and manage the annual compliance plan assessments. You will monitor Australian regulations and legislation providing advice on local requirements and assist in the review and development of compliance procedures to manage any changes. You will also represent the organisation at industry forums,
provide compliance training to staff and produce compliance reports for committees and senior management.
In addition, there will also be the prospect to provide advice on new product development.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years work compliance experience, ideally line 2 within general insurance or be a lawyer interested in transitioning to compliance. You must also demonstrate strong commercial acumen be solution driven with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
