An established building construction company with a strong presence across Sydney and the Illawarra is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its leadership team as the business continues to expand.

With a robust pipeline of major Class 2 residential and mixed-use developments, this is an opportunity to take on significant commercial responsibility and play an important role in the company's continued growth.

The position would suit an established Contracts Manager or an accomplished Senior Contracts Administrator ready to progress into a broader leadership role.

The Role

Working closely with the General Manager and senior construction team, you'll take ownership of key commercial and contractual functions, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and contractual obligations are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing contractual and financial performance across major construction projects
- Overseeing procurement, subcontractor negotiations and contract administration
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow
- Administering head contracts, variations, claims, extensions of time and final accounts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Leading and mentoring the Contracts Administration team
- Working closely with senior management to improve commercial performance and profitability





About You We're keen to speak with experienced construction professionals who can demonstrate:

- A strong background in Contracts Administration or Contracts Management within the Australian construction industry
- Experience delivering Class 2 residential, apartment or mixed-use developments
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage complex contractual matters
- Strong knowledge of procurement, cost management, forecasting and subcontractor administration
- Experience managing commercial responsibilities on substantial construction projects
- The confidence to lead teams and work closely with senior stakeholders
- Relevant construction, engineering, quantity surveying or construction management qualifications
