A gap that shouldn't exist: Toilet paper is free in every bathroom. Period products aren't.
- 3 in 5 Australian women have used tissues, toilet paper or socks because the product they needed wasn't there when they needed it. Not because it's expensive. Because nobody built the infrastructure to put it in front of her.
- At the same time, brands are spending more than ever to reach women, with worse results every year. $1 trillion a year on ads. Falling attention. Falling trust. Women control roughly 85% of household spending and most of that money is chasing them through channels they've learned to ignore.
Two broken markets. Nobody had connected them. We did.

How it works
ON THE HOUSE installs vending machines in high-traffic bathrooms that double as digital billboards. Brands pay to reach women in a zero-distraction, high-gratitude moment. Those ad dollars fund free, organic period products.
We’re already live in venues like Accor and Hyatt Hotels, Dendy Cinemas, Dreamworld, Village Roadshow and Revelop Shopping Centres. We work with brands like Afterpay, Frontier Touring, 2XU, AHM, Salomon and Pillow Talk.
And this is just the beginning.
The role
We want to make ON THE HOUSE a household name for Australian women. Not with paid ads. With content people actually want to watch, share and comment on.
You’ll be the person behind the camera on our TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn. That's 10 posts a week across all three platforms. You’ll take ideas from a voice note to a published post, and you’ll bring plenty of your own.
Every post does double duty. The planners, buyers and CMOs who book our screens are women too, so the content that wins over women also wins over the brands that pay for it.
Everything you make lines up with our positioning and tells the same story as the rest of our marketing.
You’ll report to Alice, our Marketing Lead, and work closely with Remy, our Founder, and the whole team. The office is half the content.
This is a real role, not a coffee run. Your work goes live every week, and the whole company sees what lands.
What you’ll do
- Spot trends early, then work out the OTH version nobody else would think of.
- Plan it properly: shot lists, captions, timing and the calendar.
- Then move fast. Film, edit and post while the trend’s still hot. 7 posts a week across TikTok and Instagram, and 3 LinkedIn posts.
- Create the series that become ours, like employee-generated content, restocking vlogs and case studies cut into social content.
- Run team filming. You own the team’s content time and get everyone on camera.
- Direct the talent, including the CEO, the COO and anyone else on camera. You run the shoot, not us.
- Be the hype person behind the camera. Your energy brings out the best in everyone in front of it.
- Live in the comments. Reply like a person, not a brand.
- Pull apart every post: what worked, what flopped, why, and what you’ll do next time.
Who you are
- You’re not afraid to try, or to ask. Social is test and learn. You’d rather post ten and learn from nine than wait for the perfect one.
- No doesn’t knock you over. People will say no to filming, to your idea, to the second take. You bounce back with the same energy every time.
- You’re funny. You’re witty,
quick and fluent in platform language, and you know the difference between a trend and a meme that’s already dead.
- You sweat the small stuff. The first half-second. The caption. The cut. The sound. Great videos are lots of tiny things done right, and you care about every one of them.
- You’re HUNGRY to learn. We can teach you the social playbook. We can’t teach you to want it.
- You love feedback. You take it, use it and come back better.
- You’re confident. Directing your CEO doesn’t scare you (okay, maybe a little, but you do it anyway).
What you’ll bring
- An account you’ve grown. A uni club, side hustle or small business page counts.
- Fast, sharp editing in CapCut, Premiere or similar. Phone-first is perfect.
- Comfort talking about periods out loud (even on camera).
- You’re based in Melbourne and keen to be in the office a couple of days a week.
Nice to haves
- You’re studying, or have recently finished, marketing, comms, media or similar.
- A soft spot for women’s health, purpose-led brands or startups.
How we’ll measure success
If you’re crushing it in 6 months, OTH will be a brand people follow on purpose. You’ll see it in:
- Reach
- Follower growth
- Engagement rate
What's in it for you
- Flexible schedule, around 2 to 3 days a week
- Your work in front of a real audience from week one
- A portfolio that will stand out wherever you go next
- Direct mentorship from Alice, our Marketing Lead, and Remy, our Founder
- Room to grow into a bigger role as the team expands
- A team of seriously great people working to change the world for women
