Trufusion Yeppoon Pty Ltd operates a well-established restaurant and bar venue in Yeppoon, on Queensland's Capricorn Coast. We are seeking two experienced, full time Cooks to join our kitchen team and contribute to the consistent delivery of a high-quality dining offering.

About the role

Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing, seasoning and cooking a range of dishes across the menu, including grills, seafood, sauces and desserts, to a consistent standard

Examining foodstuffs on delivery to ensure quality, and portioning and preparing ingredients ahead of service

Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment throughout service

Assisting with menu planning, estimating food requirements and ordering kitchen supplies

Maintaining rigorous food safety and hygiene standards, including the storage, handling and labelling of stock

Cleaning and maintaining food preparation areas, utensils and equipment





Supporting and directing kitchen hands as required during service

About you A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification), least 12 month's relevant experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen

Sound knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices

Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen

Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Strong teamwork, reliability and communication skills

Remuneration A salary of $80,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation is offered, commensurate with the skills and experience required for the role.
