SATHU’s Deli serves Italian–Asian inspired sandwiches, toasties, salads and specialty coffee. We’re looking for an experienced cook or sandwich maker with baking experience to join our team.
About the role
- Prepare sandwiches, fillings, sauces and baked products.
- Follow recipes, instructions and portion sizes accurately.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised.
- Follow FIFO (first in, first out) procedures for correct stock rotation.
- Maintain food safety standards, including temperature checks and safe food storage.
About you
- Previous café or commercial kitchen experience, including baking.
- Positive knife skills to prepare ingredients safely and consistently.
- A strong understanding of food safety and cleanliness.
- Familiarity with dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.
- An understanding of food allergies and how to prevent cross-contamination.
- Reliable, attentive to detail and able to work well in a busy team.
