Navshah Enterprises Pty Ltd Cafe 959 is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team in Kogarah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and presenting quality café-style dishes, with proven experience across all aspects of kitchen operations. Responsibilities include food preparation and cooking, maintaining kitchen and service areas in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with stock control and menu planning as required.

responsibilities Inspecting and assessing food items to ensure quality, freshness and consistency Monitoring and regulating the temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure optimal cooking conditions Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Seasoning and adjusting food during preparation to achieve desired flavours Portioning and plating meals attractively,



including the addition of sauces and garnishes Storing ingredients and prepared food in temperature-controlled environments to maintain food safety and quality Preparing meals to accommodate special dietary needs and customer preferences Assisting with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements Providing guidance and on-the-job training to junior kitchen staff Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen Qualification &

experience Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry Strong teamwork, time management and organisational skills Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety, hygiene regulations and kitchen procedures Attention to detail and a genuine passion for high-quality food Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to assist with special functions, seasonal menus and varying customer requirements A relevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent certification is highly regarded About Company Cafe 959, operated by Navshah Enterprise Pty Ltd, is an established hospitality business located at 13 Gray St, Kogarah NSW 2217.
