About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our technology team. This role is responsible for monitoring data processing performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensuring the quality and reliability of organisational data. You will investigate data quality issues, implement solutions to enhance data integrity, and work closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions to support business and operational requirements.
- Monitor data processing performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accurate and trusted data across the organisation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
- Leverage cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure and apply knowledge of modern data ecosystems and frameworks.





About You

- Experience working across data engineering disciplines, including SQL, ETL processes (eg DBT), and data modelling.
- Strong SQL skills, including the development and optimisation of complex queries and stored procedures.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience supporting data migration initiatives from legacy platforms to cloud environments.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
- An understanding of automated data testing practices and the software testing lifecycle within Agile delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working within Agile projects and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
