/n Permanent Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight /n Are you an experienced nursing leader ready to take the next step in your career? /n Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Deputy Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. /n This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership across nursing and midwifery workforce planning, patient access and patient flow, while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care across our campuses.

In This Position You

Will:/n /n

- Proactively manage and support our casual nursing and midwifery workforce.

/n

- Provide leadership and direction to the After-Hours Coordinators team.

/n

- Develop innovative models of care to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

/n

- Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes staff engagement, satisfaction and safe clinical practice.

/n

- Review and improve patient access, transfers, discharges and patient flow across the organisation.

/n

- Ensure practices align with evidence-based care, organisational values and strategic priorities.

/n We Are Looking for Someone Who:/n /n

- Is a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.

/n

- Has full working rights in Australia.

/n

- Holds current Advanced Life Support certification.

/n

- Has substantial nursing leadership and management experience.

/n

- Demonstrates strong knowledge of nursing management,



clinical governance, risk management and evidence-based practice.

/n

- Is solutions-focused, with excellent analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.

/n

- Has outstanding communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

/n

- Can build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and key stakeholders.
