Tanally Pty Ltd is a family-owned broadacre cropping business in the Riverina. We run a modern, large-scale operation and are looking for a capable Diesel Mechanic to take ownership of machinery maintenance and keep our operation running efficiently throughout the cropping year.
This is not just a workshop role — you'll be a key part of a large family farming operation, working on a wide range of contemporary agricultural machinery and solving problems in real time.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a large fleet of agricultural machinery, trucks, and farm equipment.
Work includes
- Manage maintenance and repair of all farm equipment
- Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts, ordering parts, installing component and part upgrades and troubleshooting breakdowns
- Attending field breakdowns and completing mobile repairs during busy periods
- Maintaining the work shed space and spare parts inventory
- Liaising with machinery operators and managers, at times, supervising junior staff
- Recording information on maintenance and operations

We run a modern fleet including:
- CASE IH and New Holland tractors, harvesters, and sprayers
- Air seeders, Horsch and Morris
- Robotic spray equipment from SwarmFarm and WeedIT
- Kenworth trucks
- Fleet of Isuzu and Toyota utes and support vehicles
What We're Looking For
- Diesel Mechanic, qualified or strong relevant experience
- Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
- Experience with agricultural or heavy machinery (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and reliability during peak seasons
- Good communication and organisation skills
What We Offer
- Salary: $77,000 – $100,000 (negotiable depending on experience and skill set)
- On-farm 3 bedroom house available, with Rankins Springs Primary School bus stop at gate. 45min drive from Griffith NSW
