Complex Disability Support – Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Quadriplegia, Severe Intellectual Impairment & Epilepsy

Location: Walloon, Queensland

Kuremara is seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support to a participant with complex support needs.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about person-centred care and committed to promoting dignity, independence, safety and quality of life.

About the Role The successful candidates will provide support to an individual with complex physical, intellectual and medical support requirements, including:

- Cerebral Palsy.
- Spastic Quadriplegia.
- Severe Intellectual Impairment.
- Epilepsy and seizure management.
- Behaviours of concern and positive behaviour support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
- Support safe mobility, positioning and transfers.
- Monitor and respond to seizure activity in accordance with established protocols.
- Implement the Behaviour Support Plan.
- Support meaningful activities and community participation.
- Assist with medication and health-related support within approved competencies.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a safe,



respectful and supportive environment.

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience supporting people with complex disabilities.
- Experience with epilepsy and seizure management.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support.
- Manual handling and personal care experience.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current Blue Card.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
