About the Role

No two participants are the same, and that's what makes this work so rewarding.

As a Support Worker, you'll provide meaningful, person-centred support that helps participants live with greater independence, confidence and choice.

Depending on individual needs, your role may include:

- Community access,



social outings and companionship
- Supporting participants to achieve personal goals and build independence
- Assistance with shopping, appointments and everyday activities
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Personal care and daily living support
- Transport and community participation
- Medication assistance
- Manual handling, hoist transfers and higher-care support where required

We support people with a diverse range of needs and recognise that every Support Worker brings different strengths and experience. You don't need to be experienced in every aspect of support. We provide training and guidance to help you build your confidence and develop your skills.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people who have experience in disability support, aged care, healthcare or community services.

But experience alone doesn't make someone a great Support Worker.

We're looking for people who:

- Genuinely care about the wellbeing, dignity and independence of others
- Are reliable, professional and understand the importance of showing up
- Build positive, respectful relationships with participants and families
- Are patient, empathetic and adaptable
- Communicate openly and work well as part of a team
- Show initiative and can confidently respond to changing situations
- Understand professional boundaries and the importance of quality care
- Are open to feedback, learning and ongoing development




- Bring a positive attitude and a sense of humour to their work

Essential Requirements To be considered, applicants will need:

- To currently reside in Cairns or surrounding areas and be available to commence work locally
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Blue Card / Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance

Qualifications in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Community Services are highly regarded but not essential. Applicants who are currently working towards obtaining or renewing relevant checks or certifications are also welcome to apply.
