About the Role

As Duty Manager at the Marryatville Hotel, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the venue, helping deliver exceptional service, solid team performance and smooth operations across all areas.

Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you’ll lead from the floor, support and develop the team, and ensure our service, presentation, compliance and operational standards are consistently maintained.

This is a casual position working across a rotating 7-day roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Overseeing daily venue operations across bar, restaurant, gaming and floor areas
- Leading, coaching and supporting team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Driving service standards and creating a positive, energetic team culture on shift
- Managing guest feedback and resolving issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensuring gaming operations and Responsible Person duties are conducted in accordance with compliance requirements
- Completing accurate daily reports, cash reconciliations and shift handovers
- Maintaining high standards of venue presentation, cleanliness and safety
- Supporting ongoing team training, development and performance

About You You’re a confident and hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys being on the floor, connecting with guests and bringing the best out of your team. You stay calm under pressure,



communicate clearly and know how to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a hotel, pub or busy hospitality venue
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a positive, approachable attitude
- Proven ability to lead teams and make confident decisions during high-volume service
- Experience across food, beverage and gaming operations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- RSA and RP Badge essential
- Gaming Manager's badge preferred, with RSG and H&L; experience highly regarded
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a long-term career in hospitality
