As part of our continued growth in Australia, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electric Heavy Truck / Road Truck Service Engineer to join our team, based in Brisbane.

About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting and after-sales service for SANY electric road trucks and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

This role involves working with advanced electric vehicle technologies, including high-voltage battery systems, electric powertrains, charging systems and vehicle control systems, ensuring vehicle reliability, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on electric heavy trucks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical and high-voltage battery system faults.
- Maintain and repair electric powertrains, motors, inverters, charging systems and vehicle control systems.
- Provide on-site technical support and after-sales service to customers.
- Conduct vehicle commissioning, preventative maintenance and technical assessments.
- Respond to customer service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.




- Work closely with the sales, parts and service teams to support business operations.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, particularly high-voltage electrical safety procedures.

Skills & Requirements

- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Electrical, Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Experience in servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles or electric vehicles (EVs).
- Knowledge of high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, inverters and vehicle electrical systems.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with vehicle electronic control systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical support in the field.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence (Heavy Vehicle Licence preferred).
- Australian working rights.
- Willingness to travel within Queensland and occasionally interstate as required.
