About the role

Rockmount is recruiting an Electrician on behalf of a national pump company. They need an Electrician who's comfortable around pumps, motors and plant rooms, and who can work out a fault without ringing a mate. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity: you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with our client.

What you'll be doing

- Installing and repairing pump-related electrical equipment at water treatment sites, including motors, switchgear, valves, actuators and dosing systems
- Installing, inspecting and testing water treatment and process control systems
- Fault finding, troubleshooting and condition reporting
- Testing and calibrating sensors and associated equipment
- Working to JSEAs, permits to work, isolations and risk analysis
- Reading engineering drawings and writing service reports, with transparent job notes and photos of the work completed
- Working as part of a 3-man field service crew on service and repair jobs

What you'll need




- Australian Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current White Card
- Current Working at Heights ticket (preferred)
- Current Confined Space Rescue ticket (preferred)
- At least 1 year post-trade experience as an electrician
- Water job experience or Pump experience and an MR licence both highly regarded
- Current driver's licence
